Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
For your first Tutor Marked Assignment you can submit your work via the web site the Course Advisor gave you details of, or you can submit it via email at tutor@skillstrain.co.uk
However, ONLY the first Tutor Marked Assignment, TMA 01, should be submitted as stated above. Once you have submitted TMA 01, and your work has been marked and returned to you, you will receive your unique USERNAME and PASSWORD for Student World. For all future Tutor Marked Assignments you should submit your work via Student World.
You should submit your Tutor Marked Assignments using Student World. The link to submit a TMA can be found under CLASSROOM and is named SUBMIT A TMA. Provided that you use Student World to submit your Assignments we will receive them. Obviously if you post your Assignments to us there is always the possibility that they may be lost in the post, so for this reason please use Student World to submit your work.
After you have submitted a Tutor Marked Assignment, using Student World, it will take approximately 6 working days to appear on your results. You can view your results using Student World. The link to view your results can be found under CLASSROOM and is named VIEW MY PROGRESS. Next to each result there is a link to VIEW your Progress Report. You can also PRINT your Progress Report to your own printer.
If you have submitted an Assignment, and it is not appearing under VIEW MY PROGRESS you need to consider whether or not it has been SIX WORKING DAYS since you submitted the work. If you are certain that it is 7 days or more since you submitted your Assignment, and it is not appearing under VIEW MY PROGRESS then please contact your tutor team by WEBMAIL. WEBMAIL is a facility within Student World.
It is essential to understand that it will take UP TO SIX WORKING DAYS for your result to appear. YOUR TUTOR TEAM CANNOT GIVE YOU THE RESULT OVER THE PHONE OR BY WEBMAIL ANY EARLIER.
