Hello, I am a mechanical engineering graduate, but was still a complete novice in web related issues before I started this program. To say the truth, all I knew and did online was to check my Yahoo mail!!!!. I do not have access to the internet I don't even have a computer. I should be doing a course called "Beginning for beginners". After months of illness I felt that I would just get on with it and do my best and since that time I have seen some changes: alright it hasn't been anything astonishing to an outsider but within myself I am quietly satisfied with the knowledge that things are moving forward albeit slowly. There is a confidence about my studying that is very gratifying and at the sending of each TMA I am overcome with the sense of achievement beyond my expectation. Just I wanted to let you know that I used the Skills Train Network+ study guides to prepare for the Network+ 2007 Edition exam. I passed on the first try without problem. I am highly recommending to all of my friends to join with skills Train because this computer training college provides Realistic, Fantastic and skillful course materials for getting success. Well, after a busy first half of the year I was struggling to keep up with my study timetable and also lead a busy life. I work for a medium sized telecomms/I.T company and have been trying to move more into the I.T side of things, as I believe there is more prospects and opportunity, but this has proved difficult as I do not have the necessary experience they require, that was one of the main reasons I embarked on this study programme and course. I had started IT Bsc but was forced to leave university in my first year. In March 2003 I had a routine back operation and was assured full recovery within 1 month, however four years later and I am still suffering from excruciating lower back Pain (coxcyc bone). It has made my life very difficult and is worst when sitting. The pain becomes unbearable very quickly. To say things have been difficult is a huge underestimation. Nearly two years after my operation I enroled for this course. I was lying down working on a laptop but that made my back worse so I requested and was granted "time out". My wife who has been great from the beginning was obviously under massive amounts of stress and after four years of battling this hard reality it finaly became to much and she suffered a VT attack (a serious heart condition). It was brought about by stress. I was visited by a friends relative recently who is a doctor abroad. He advised me to take some medicine and since taking it I have found some relief. It has allowed me to put in time so I am able to continue with the course. I submitted my assignment recently where I had to design a web site. It was my first assignment since restarting my course. I got 100%. Some days are still very difficult now my wifes health is not so great anymore but I am determined to complete this course and am very glad I began it. Maybe there are many other place offering similar courses but I am glad I chose scheidegger as the whole service they provide is excellent and most importantly the way they have understood my personal issues and even this competition shows they really care about making a difference in peoples lives. The last few months for me have been really hard, on top of the fact my laptop has broken twice and had to be wiped clean of all my work, my partner has been to and from hospital. After months of trying to juggle the studying, homelife, kids and work (nights) I can finally see that it will all be worth it in the end. Just sent in TMA 10 and waiting for the results, still averaging 95% and I actually know that the work that I have done is paying off. I recently upgraded the memory and the graphics on my home pc and it now works like a dream. Actually being phoned up to come and try and sort out peoples PCs (for a fee !!) and I have also got a placement with a local IT solutions firm in order to broaden my horizons in the IT world. Still got a long way to go but I am no longer out of my depth and will be be looking forward to my career change, probably after Christmas. I thought I would struggle with the Javascript section of the course, but I have been very pleasantly surprised with how quickly I picked it up with a little patience and determination. I was delighted to get 100% for the script I submitted for my final assessment, especially since my health has deteriorated again this month so it's been a struggle sometimes to keep up. At the same time I have completed a database-driven website for a friend, making use of php and mySQL which I've also had to learn as I went along. This all gives me confidence that I can be successful in the course and go on to make a living, despite my health issues. In 2001 I was involved in a serious road accident in which I broke my neck, during My nine months in hospital I knew I would have to retrain because returning to my old job would be impossible. The accident left me unable to walk and my left arm and hand unusable so I decided on web design the thinking been I could sit behind a desk and do most things right handed using a mouse. I enroled on a dreamweaver/flash course which I fitted in between intensive physio and several operations on my left arm and hand. I passed with flying colours gaining a deploma. I wanted to learn more so I enroled on the CIW Website Design Manager course which so far is going sucessfully. My advice to people reading this is never give up, my doctors said I'd never walk again, I can, my arm/hand is now functional and hopefully soon I'll be able to start my working career a fresh with new aims and ambitions. I sat and passed my CCNA Certification exam 640-801. I am pleased with myself because I acheived a remarkable score of 974. I scored 100% in Planning & Development, Implementation & Operation, Technology and 88% in Troubleshooting. It was a long way because when I started on the CCNA course I had very little knowledge of computers. Then, I could bearly manage to type a letter on a computer. Back then in January 2005 I started right at the beggining with the Network+ Certification. Moving on to the CCNA Introduction and the CCNA ICND. Friday the 28th of September 2007 will remain a memmorable day for me because that is the day I got my CCNA qualification. I am very pleased with my decision to change my career into IT after having been in Human Resources field for 10 years. After just two months of commencing my COMPTIA A+ with SkillsTrain, I was able to move across to a job as a Junior HelpDesk Analyst. I started my A+ course in the middle of March 2007 basically as a novice. I studied very hard, literally every day, and did quite well with my TMAs. When I completed my last TMA, the thought of doing the actual exam was quite scary for me since I had not formally studied in over 20 years. Secured a promotion to Communications Engineer with my employer. Have been given the task of designing and overseeing the installation of a full network system in a New High School that we are in the proccess of building. The CCNP course, and my results, which I was able to show on-line was the main factor in getting this chance.
