Worked hard and submitted TMAs timely, visited websites regularly, kept in touch with tutors when face difficulties and stuck in course work. Looking for a bright future with a better job in Web designing.

EDUCATION HAS BEING MY GREATEST SOURCE OF INSPIRATION, THOUGH I HAD MY PRELIMINARY EDUCATION IN NIGERIA. I LOST MY DAD WHILE I WAS PREPARING FOR MY PRIMARY SCHOOL LEAVING CERT. EXAM, BUT INSPITE OF THE TENTION @ THAT TIME, I MANAGED TO SAT FOR THE EXAM AND EVENTUALLY I PASSED ALL MY PAPERS. I LATER GOT ADMISSION INTO SECONDARY SCHOOL WHEN MY RESULTS CAME OUT. AFTER ALL THESE EVENTS, THAT IS, WHEN I STARTED MY SECONDARY SCHOOL EDUCATION I NOW BEGIN TO FEEL THE IMPACTS OF LOOSING ONES FATHER, NOT EVEN @ THE TENDER AGE OF 11 YRS OLD. INITIALLY, I WAS VERY ENCITED FOR THE JOY OF GOING TO SECONDARY SCHOOL, MEETING NEW FRIENDS AND FACING NEW SPHERE OF LIFE. FOR A WHILE I MANAGED TO COPE, BECAUSE I HAVE TO WALK A DISTANCE OF 3KM TO AND FRO BEFORE I GET TO MY NEW SCHOOL, SOMETIMES WITHOUT FOOD. AS TIME WENT ON I WAS DISCOURAGED BECUASE THERE WAS NOBODY TO TURN TO FOR HELP OR ADVICE, I WAS JUST ON MY OWN, USING MY OWN INITIATIVES TO MAKE DECISIONS. BUT @ THE LONG RUN I FINISHED MY SECONDARY SCHOOL EDUCATION(SSE) WITH LITTLE OR NO HELP FROM ANYBODY EXCEPT MY MUM. HOWEVER, WHILE I WAS IN SECONDARY SCHOOL I HAD A VISION OF BECOMING A GREAT AND EDUCATED PERSON IN LIFE. WHEN I FINISHED MY SSE IN 1994, I HAVE TO WORKED FOR ALMOST 3 YRS TO RAISE MONEY TO FURTHER MY EDUCATION. AND IN 1998 I GOT AN ADMISSION INTO ONE OF THE PRESTIGIOUS UNIVERSITIES IN AFRICA (OBAFEMI AWOLOWO UNIVERSITY, ILE-IFE, OSUN STATE, NIGERIA). I STUDIED GEOGRAPHY AND GRADUATED IN 2003/2004 ACADEMIC SESSION WITH 2.2. NOW I HAVE B.Sc DEGREE IN GEOGRAPHY. AND TODAY I AM DOING CIW WEBSITE DESIGN MNGR COURSE FOR A CHANGE OF CAREER AND ALSO TO BOOST MY CHANCE OF GETTING A BETTER JOB. SINCE I HAVE STARTED THIS COURSE THINGS HAVE NOT BEING SO EASY FOR ME, BECUASE I CAN'T IMAGINE MYSELF COPING WITH THE STRESS OF WORK, MY FAMILY ( I AM MARRIED WITH ONE CHILD, EXPECTING THE SECOND ONE IN MARCH), ALL MY BILLS AND IN PARTICULAR THE COURSE FEES. BUT I ALWAYS BELIEVE IN THE PHILOSOPHY THAT NOTHING GOOD COMES SO EASY; YOU HAVE TO STRIFE FOR IT. DESPITE ALL THESE FACTORS I MANAGE TO GO ON IN THIS PROGRAM. NOW I JUST SUBMITTED MY ASSIGNMENT 07, WHICH MAKES ME SO HAPPY BECAUSE I KNOW IN A SHORT TIME AM GOING TO FINISH THE COURSE. APART FROM THE FACT THAT I 'M IN LESSON 06, AM VERY PROUD THAT I CAN EVEN DESIGN A WEBSITE ON MY OWN.

I started my course about 4 months ago just 1.5 months after I arrived in England. I am 16 years old and I am currently in my final year at school. it is quiet difficult to cope with all course works at school and do additional learning at home, but I do my best as I am really interested in what am I doing. This course has improved my English and computer knowledge dramatically! I have achieved very good results with my TMAs. At the moment I am finishing my first book and I already help to solve some simple network problems at school sometimes. I understand far more now about the Internet, hoe it works, different protocols, etc. and I want to know more. I will work hard to complete all my rest books and get the best results as I can. Thank you very much!

Recently got promoted to a Manager's Position in a Call Centre where I work. With very tight schedule and long working hours and all the responsibility of Staff, etc. I have still managed to keep my studies going and wish to do further studies when I finish this course. Also, another personal achievement is that my wife gave me a news that I will be a father very soon !!

I can still remember how hard it was for me to get my foot in to the world of IT. That all changed just after a month that I booked a course in MCSA with SkillsTrain. For the employers to see that I am currently training for the MCSA, I have been offered a job in 1st line IT Support and that was without a single day of work experience in the field of IT. I have been working for the DCSA DISD CIS(S) at HMNB in Portsmouth and on a long term contract (the only sad thing is I am working via an employment agency but the fact that I was selected from quite a few applicants at the time is good enough for me). I am enjoying every single day at work and the unexplainable feeling when I get some customer feedbacks is really something. At the moment, I am also training to sit for the MCDST which I might do long before I finish my MCSA course. I am currently working on 30 hours a day (work + MCSA studies + MCDST studies + family + house work) and is surviving with the help of berroca and red bull. I am keeping myself motivated by thinking that tomorrow will always be another day and that all these hard work will give me something solid in the near future.

I just wanted to say that I really find it hard to find time to study after my work.
I am working as a care assistant and it involves physical hardwork and stress through the whole day. I still found time to study and very successfully completed my two parts of TMA with really high score. 95% and 98% and I submitted my third one today.

And I feel really proud of myself, and I learned a lot of new information on Windows 2000. I hope I can take the exam soon.

Although I have started this course later than I should have, I have been given ample support and help and have achieved far more in a shorter space of time than I could have imagined when setting out. I May not be a suitable candidate, but it is not for the want of trying.

Then at 45, and with a first degree in Mathematics and Statistics but without any knowledge at all in Computing, I felt I was being left behind in this Computer era. I therefore took a courageous decision to do a degree course in Computing to become abreast with the times. Accordingly, in September 2004, I enrolled at the Peterborough Regional College to do a three-year degree course in Computing and Information Systems.
Suddenly finding myself among students who already knew well beyond the basics in computing, I realised the enormity of the task that lay ahead of me. I have had to work extremely hard to be able to move along at the pace at which the class has been moving. And I have had to combine this with part-time work. Though I have a family, the rest of the members are not here with me and this means that all other errands have had to be run by myself. It has not been easy at all but I'm persevering.
Now at 47 and in the final year of the degree course (finishing in June 2007), I still feel I need more consolidation of the concepts in order to build more confidence, hence my decision to enrol onto this course, which appears to me to have a considerable element of practicals.
I'm still under pressure from the degree programme but I'm managing my time appropriately to be able to conveniently take this course alongside. So far I'm moving on well and enjoying it.

I probably need to be a student for a while to get this, well I just started my ccna I have previously done a course on management of information systems. I got married in kenya just in December 2006 my wife is a full time student at leicester college hence she doesnt work thats why I have been force to take a home learning course so that I can continue with my work where I work as a support worker supporting three residents with learning disability, I do shift work so I try and do my work before or after work so far am doing well at it and managing though its tight on time as my wife doesnt work. I am getting on well with the course material provided and doing well with my TMA'S with the last one having scored 100percent. am giving it my best with the course and hope that I will sucessfully complete it.

During January I have managed to complete 5 TMAs for my course, while I have been juggling with a new job which is 12 hour days (6-6) on a rotating shift basis (including weekends). I have also been helping my fiancee's eldest daughter with her maths for school (has anyone seen the way they have to do it now?).
On top of this, my ex-wife has told me that my 2 daughters no longer want to see me, as I was unable to see them one weekend due to the hours of my new job, so it looks like I am now going to have legal bills pending for an access case.
Despite this I still made sure I carried on with my course, as I am looking at the bigger picture and know the qualifications I gain (N+ and CCNA) will lead to a better life for my family and myself.
