I have started my course with Skills Train just over a year now and although I have had previous computer knowledge from completing the CIW qualification, I must admit through studying the N+ and the MCSA Windows Server 2002/2003, has given me exceptional knowledge about computer hardware/software and computer network which is what I enjoy doing, hence why I decided to embark on this course. Not only that, finding a college to fit my working and private life around wasn't easy until when I discovered Skills Train, and holding down a full time job within a busy environment such as the police my current employer and supporting a family whilst giving 100% to a very intense course with a lot to take in isn't very easy. But nonetheless, through hard work and dedication I can safely say that I am almost finish and with a lot of confidence to pass my exams. I am also proud to say as a result of studying the N + and MCSA Windows Server 2002/2003 I have recently had an interview internally as a Communication Officer, awaiting result, and I am also having another interview next week also internal as a Computer Forensic Investigator. I thought progression such as this worth sharing as I haven't had an interview in a long time let alone two in two weeks. Many thanks to Skills Train and its Tutors. Having been 25yrs since I last study, I found it difficult at the start to take in information and remember it for any length of time.I have now began to understand and remember more of what I am learning (hopefully enough) and have not been temped (yet anyway)to look back on my notes when completing assignments I have personally been surprised at my progress and hope to continue to surpass my expectations. I am still battling with M.E and had a very patchy May/June. I didn't stop studying I just couldn't stay awake long enough to get the assignment re-submitted. I kept studying as it helped take my mind off feeling ill, as you know I got 97% after resubmitting the TMA. I was really proud of myself for persevering and getting the grade I wanted! About 3 months after I started my course my disabled grandson, who is 5 came to live with me, which meant giving up my job with the local council and starting as a taxi driver. Despite all of the upheaval I'm quite proud of the fact that I've managed to keep up my progress on the course. Very good teaching. Tutor phoned beforehand to make sure my log on was ok. very impressed by that, shows they do actually care. Full marks to the tutors. Very interesting to actually feel that the students are supported 100%. I was very satisfied and had a better understanding. Thank you for your support. I am very confident with the Live Internet Training. I know I am not alone, you are there for me, and thank you. I HAVE BEEN STUDYING THE A+ COURSE FOR A WHILE NOW I HAVE FINISHED THIS AND NOW ON MY N+ WHICH I'M FINDING IT A CHALLENGE BUT ENJOYING IT VERY MUCH I WORK FOR LAND ROVER FOR 14 YEARS AND WANT A CHANGE IN CAREER SO I WORK AND STUDY AT THE SAME TIME ALSO I HAVE DONE AN ENGINE MANGEMENT SYSTEMS COURSE WHICH I DID AT WORK AND PASSED I AM MARRIED AND LOOK AFTER MY PARTNER TOO WHO HAS BEEN OFF WORK FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS BECAUSE OF DEPRESSION BECAUSE WE HAVE BEEN MARRIED FOR 10 YEARS AND TRYING TO HAVE CHILDREN IT HAS GOT TO HER SO I AM THERE TO HELP HER ALONG, WITH HELP FROM FAMILY AT TIMES BUT I FEEL HOPEFULLY WE WILL START A FAMILY SOON AND WILL BE IN A BETTER PAID JOB TOO SO AS YOU CAN SEE I TRY AND BALANCE WORK STUDY AND FAMILY LIFE ALL IN ONE BUT I KNOW IT WILL BE WORTH IT IN THE LONG RUN THANKS. While being diagnosed with depression 4 weeks ago,I thought my chances of getting on with the course would fade. But with willpower and enthusiam, I have had the willpower to get through the sections 8 - 11 part 1 of the A+ COURSE, with results of 90, 85, 100 and 97%. I particularly find this class most enjoyable for me, so far. Excellent presentation and attention to tricky little details. This training is potentially life changing for me. In 1993 I was rushed to hospital with meningitis, and I haven't been able to work since. The last 14 years have been a battle to return to some level of health as my brain, immune system, and energy were severely affected by the virus. Progress has been slow, learning to read again, gradually increasing my activity levels, trying new medicines and supplements - and there have been many setbacks along the way. Finally, I've managed to get into a position where I'm reliably able to concentrate for a few hours per day, so it's time to start getting some work skills back in place and try to change my life situation. My aim is to earn enough working from home to set me free from the state benefit system. I had been plagued by the usual "getting bogged down in the daily going to work not finding time to do my course" for about 10 months, and then realised what I really wanted to be doing with my life, which is web design and I need to be making a lot of effort to get this course done. So for the last 6 or 7 weeks I've been getting the course done and TMA's submitted on the day I get the next access code. My marks have all recently been 100% so that for me is pleasing and spurring me on to get the next one done. Having recently been made redundant, I have started a small business along with studying with Skillstrain on the web design foundation course. After much studying and hard work it has finally paid off and I have achieved three interview dates with local companies. I have had one interviewer where they were very impressed with the skills I have learnt so far on the CIW Web design course. I myself have found the course material excellent and am continuing to enjoy learning even more skills throughout my studying. Even friends and parents have remarked how impressed they are with my achievements to date! I didn’t know a thing really about XHTML or how the web worked, now in 6 months I am able to design web pages, which to me feels great!
