Since starting my CIW I have found myself a better paid job as a International Web Coordinator and am looking after 120 website, due to the travelling abroad and work load this has caused a little delay in my CIW progress but I have not given up and all that I have learn so far with my CIW course has come in handy in my working life. Studying with SkillsTrain has made a great difference in my life and moreover this Christmas better than the last because since I joined the NHS as a technician in May, 2009, (in the sterile department),the usefulness of IT skills acquired so far on the CIW course has always been very advantageous in my job.
Actually,my job description and responsibility involve using IMS scan track system among the machinery for processing decontamination of surgical instruments;which is comprising of three modules sub-divided into eight parts.This system is networked to every section of the department therefore,giving staff access to trace for example a missing item/tray or assist in finding the decontamination record of an instrument tray processed in case of any unlikely infection on patient during operation.Registration of new instruments on the database.With the help of CIW course my confidence has grown enormously in this domain.To be precise,constant use of computer to study(at home)using the basic web searching techniques in the labs has been part of it.Part of website development principle such as project management,working with service provider,ways to obtain quality feedback,accessing and updating databases etc. has really helped made stand out in the department.
The reason why studying with SkillsTrain has made this Christmas more better than the last was because with the skills I've demonstrated in the department I I've asked for a career progression into health informatics in November which I found very positive from moving from a job to a career.Without the SkillsTrain course I wouldn't have achieved this.This has really made this Christmas a wonderful one!

Before I started to train with skills train no one really found me applicable as soon as I started to train with skillstrain and I put it on my c.v. more people started to interview me and was very curious to what 'skillstrain' was so I told them about it and they said they see me as a valued person as I am paying for an education not just doing it because its free like most young people do. I like to study with skills train over Christmas as the rush to get assignments in is not there as it is a course where yo can take your time with your assignments no rush so not as many mistakes !! thanks for accepting me to study with skills train.

Im very proud and honoured to to share my success story. Its now 3 years I started my course with skillstrain. It has been on and off for many reasons including my family related issues and time management. At last I have completed my A+ and N+ and just about to appear ccna exam. I was so frustrated about the fact that the economic climate is not conducive for new comers in any field especially IT. But I kept on trying, so far I sent at least 50-60 resumes but no luck. Lately surprisingly I had a call from NHS hospital to attend interview for the post of PC System Analyst. I was so surprised about it and with great confidence I attended the interview. Questions came one by one asking about trouble shooting scenarios and I have answered all of it correctly based on text book. But at last they told me that I have no working experience however they May contact me after completion of their interviews. Since they told me so I got frustrated further more considering the fact that I have no experience. Those days were my most stressed days in my life. I waited anxiously for their replay because I felt that I have a fare chance but I don't know how. They called me after 5 days and said they are considering me for the post and again not confirmed. Two days later they finally confirmed that the job is for me. God, I could not believe it, I got a job without experience, my happiest ever time. I joined in the new department last week and one day I asked my manager how did you opted me politely. He laughed at me asking that if it was not a good choice? I said him I just wanted to know how come you took the decision. He explained me that which is, I remember during the interview they asked me if I'm still studying. I told them that I'm just about to finish ccna and is not class room training. They picked on that fact and assumed that if somebody with family that too having little ones do online training and finishing one of the good courses to be a network support technician, he must be a committed person and employer can expect him to perform well. And also the fact that they are going to roll out ip telephony and upgrade their switching and routing hence person with theoretical knowledge of Cisco products will be an advantage. That is how they opted me. At this point I would like to thank you skillstrain for giving me an apt course and all the support you extended to me.

Hi,

To all my tutors I want to thank you for all your help this year, however being in the construction industry has meant that I have now been unemployed for over a month as there is not enough work.
I am finding it hard with some parts of this course but my goals are to complete this course and get a better job next year in web designing, so there will be no more cold weather and no more construction work for me and no more money problems. This Christmas is going to be a tough one for us, I cant thank my tutors enough as they have helped me through difficult times when I have been struggling and am looking forward to finishing this course. Thanks again and I hope all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I think I have good knowledge from SkillsTrain because since I have started with SkillsTrain now I know the system Components ,Operating systems, how to connect Internet ,How to re-load Operating system ,and deference between WLAN and LAN and I know how to configure the system itself like system start-up, system performance and many more I am so proud because all my mates they do call me if they have problem on there systems and they know that when am there everything will be running smoothly I am very very proud of that SkillsTrain gave me break through even though I haven't yet finished my study. Christmas just would not be the same without Skillstrain, I just can't imagine any Christmas without the wonder of skillstrain and the fabulous tutors. Each and every one of them a master in their field, battling to ensure that each and every one of the students passes the course with flying colours.

I myself having had the best time with my lodgers who would never move out but the tutors get on encouraging me to carry on and even to this day I have carried on without and I must say that my progress is brilliant.

I now have an essay plan in place, which a tutor devises for me every month to keep me on the straight and narrow and they correct my work and gives me any extra tips/advice that they can give to further increase my skills and understanding.

My world would 100 million percent not be the same without skillstrain and the fabulous mentor the tutors, so everyone I would just like to say thanks so very much skillstrain tutors for helping me every step of the way.

Last year in December I didn't know where my career was going. I have started the MCSE training course with SkillsTrain in January 2009 and now have passed the 2 first exams - CompTIA A+ and N+ and will be starting a new job in IT on the 4th of January. Now my professional career is going somewhere nice and proceeding as planned. Thanks for the opportunity.
