When I moved to Manchester in June 2007 I was really depressed, I had left school, my friends and all hopes behind in London. I didn't have anyone to talk to or anything interesting to do with my time, I used to stay at home watching TV the whole day every day. And occasionally I would get online to check my e-mails. One day when I was watching TV I saw an advert about the SkillsTrain courses, I got online and researched about home learning courses. I sent e-mails asking for more information to a lot of course providers but only SkillsTrain gave me an answer and someone would call me every now and then trying to arrange a meeting, but at the time I was not sure I really wanted to go ahead and go back to studying. Then I met my boyfriend, he told me how important it was to have some kind of qualification, so in the future I can get a job I really like, I spoke to my parents and they also agreed that I had to do something. I got really exited because I always loved learning new things, I got online and chose what I wanted to do, and the next time someone called I arranged a meeting. A very nice young woman came to my house and answered all of my questions and brought some information on courses she thought I would enjoy doing. At that very same day I decided that I would study with SkillsTrain and since I love computers I chose to do the CIW Website Design Manager Course. Because I am only 18 and because of the world crisis, it's been very difficult for me to get a job; I am still searching but thanks to my course I have not lost my faith in finding a wonderful job. The course has made me think really hard about what I want in life and how to get there, how to be successful and how to not lose faith in what you really want. So this Christmas is definitely going to be better than the last for me and my whole family, thanks to SkillsTrain and the whole team. Thank you for everything!! I am working over the Xmas period from the 26th - 6th of January. Through skills train I will be able study over this period with the goal of taking my exam at the end of January. I HAVE WORKED NIGHTS ON A 12 HOUR SHIFT FOR OVER 4 YEARS NOW, BUT BY TRAINING WITH SKILLS TRAIN, I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO FIND A BETTER CAREER ALSO WITH A BETTER INCOME. This is my first year at skills train college, taking up pc engineer. it's really make my dream vivid again I can say that 19 years I keep myself in the dark, doing domestic work, cleaning houses in different places. I'm glad to know skills train to gain knowledge and to give me courage that one day I can changes my career into a better and decent work. well its really encouraging having a high score 100 t0 97 percent, it's like a beginning of my dream that I know one day I can be a certified pc engineer and it's really a change of my life. It's true that knowledge is power that no one can take it away from you. I never regret studying at skills train staff are helpful and I realize having skills are very important in our life all the best. At this point in studying, I have not always found the course easy and it is sometimes difficult to plan study time with a family demanding things of you! TO THE ORGANIZER. This Christmas is going to be great because I am doing the skillstrain course which by this time next year I'll be in working the the skills I've learnt and this makes one of the best years ever for me thanks to skillstrain. Before studying with skills train I was working in a kitchen working with nothing much to look forward to I have now just been offered a job as a computer engineer thanks to my course and dedication skills train has made my Christmas: D thank you I am currently studying the CompTIA A+/N+ course to become a networking engineer and am at current still concentrating on finishing the course, have done the first 24 assessments and have passed all of them,only having to resit one this was due to illness, and passed with flying colours the second time round. This will improve my job prospects in many ways, hoping to get a new job at the end of this course and make a better life for my family. Hello guys, my name is Andy. I am a 1st year student in City University, studying Bsc Economics at the moment. Studying with SkillsTrain this Christmas will be time well spent, far more constructive than last year, where I was slacking away, especially at times like now where we are experiencing the Credit Crunch, with big firms ‘sacking' more workers than employing. Personally, I still have 3 years of academic studying to go, before devoting myself fully to a job. So studying with SkillsTrain this Christmas would give me the competitive edge when I devote myself to a job 3 years from now, where the Credit Crunch might settle. I used the word ‘might' as this is a possibility and trying to be optimistic. If it does settle, the whole economy starts afresh and firms May start employing more workers, and thanks to SkillsTrain, I will have greater possibilities and opportunities waiting…ideally. Now is the right time, time better than any other time, to study with SkillsTrain. Studying with Skills Train is going to make my Christmas this year better than last year because now I have completed my first CIW exam and passed. I feel much more confident to carry on with my studying and I am finding the next section of my course really interesting. I have recently spent some time working on new contacts. This Christmas will be even better than last year because since October I have been given a job looking after old people. When the boss saw that I have been studying with Skills Train for 8 months she thought that I am hard worker and that I really wanted the job. So thanks Skills Train.
